Splish Splash

Bath Time is a fun part of the day for both Max and I. He loves it because he gets to splash, play with bubbles and pour water on his head. As for me I like it because I can sit back and relax and just enjoy the sound of happiness. However, I often find myself thinking about how bath time has changed over the last 19 months.

I remember giving that first bath, well my mom and Tim had to do most of it because I was afraid of breaking him. He was so tiny, but man he could yell. You would think we were cutting his toes off if you heard him. Max did not enjoy bath for the first 2 months. Then by 3 months he started to come around and it was a more pleasant experience.

As he gets older the amount of fun increases as well as the amount of water on the floor. You know that commercial where the the ceiling falls in due to too much water upstairs??? Well I think that will be my house one day. Man this boy can splash and he thinks its the funniest thing ever!!! Max also giggles a lot when he toots in the bath. About a week or two ago I taught him how to make the tooting noise by placing one of his bath toys under his arm. He loves it and its funny to watch him do it.

I love my little Max and all the SPLISH SPLASH times that we have together!!!!

Going through the change!!!!

I am changing into my MOTHER!!!!! As I get older I hear more and more you look just like Amy (my mommy), o that is a Amy look or you sound just like your mom on the phone. Well of those things like that I just said yeah ok I guess we all can have our opinions. However, today I crossed over!!!!

Every year my mom cleans out her closet to give to Helping Hands and she always tells me to go through the clothes and take what I want. And I normally take a few items thinking well I could make this work or maybe this will come back into style soon, but those items tend to just hang in my closet untouched until its time for me to spring clean. Well that tradition has been broken. Today I wore a mint green, no that was not a typo I meant to spell mint, jacket to work. I of course paired with a black shirt and some black slacks to bring it back to life. And the weirdest thing happened while at work I got so many compliments!!!! So I guess mom you do have great taste and clothes!!!

On a serious note I feel honored every time some tells me I am like my mom. I tend to joke or brush it off, but it does warm my heart. My mom is one of a kind. She is so amazing and I have learned a lot from her. I always joke with her and tell her man you must of done something right to get a great daughter like me, but the truth is I am the one that must of done something right to get such an awesome mom like her. Don't get me wrong I am a great daughter =), but she is a super d dooper mom. She ranks in the top of my all time favorite moms!!! =) Thanks mom for all that you do!!! I owe you so much!!! I will pay you back with grandson kisses. Love ya M-O-E (again I meant to type MOE that is how my brother Sam spelled mom when he was a kid we are not a family known for our amazing spelling skills)

Loss

You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. ~Desmond Tutu

Its never easy to lose. Loss hurts and it stinks, but it is a fact of life. My heart ache right now and I know in time that ache will fade and the memory will be a more pleasant thing to feel.

During this time it is easy to get caught up in the what ifs or the should of dones, but I am trying to stay out of that area. God made this path for me and I have to believe that there is a reason for how things turned out.

Dear Dale,

I wish I had known you better and had the kind of relationship a granddaughter has with her grandfather, but we didn't. There really is no one to blame its just how things happened. People's choices really effected our lives, but that is ok. Because of choices that people made I did have you in my life and even though it was a small amount of time I cherish it. From what I know you were a great man and I am sure you would of been a awesome grandfather had we had more time. You will always have a place in my heart and you will not be forgotten. I love you.

Please pray for the Moore family as they deal with the loss of a sweet man.

Joe Willy's Night

Our Life Group is raising money to send a group to Mozambique this summer for a missions trip. We had our first event last night to raise money. Our class worked at Joe Willy's and it was a great night. Tons of friends, family and others from the community showed up to show their support. It is amazing to see people coming together to do God's will.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his
riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19, KJV

Pancakes from a can!!!

So my sweet hubby woke up and made me pancakes last weekend!!!

These wonderful pancakes came from a squirt can =) and they tasted really GREAT!!! There is a lot food that we eat in our house that comes from a can, but I would of never thought pancakes would be one of those items. O well I thought they were great and the clean up is easy!!! So now you will not find pancake mix in our house, but you will have can pancakes!!!

4 year of marriage

A week ago I posted about the days that lead up to the wedding and then the actual day. Now its to to post about what happened after the kiss.

Tim and I have been married 4 years. We have had awesome moments and not so awesome moments. But all of those moments have help make our marriage what it is today. He is the love of my life and I am his.

We have a amazing dog and a really sweet baby boy!!! They keep us pretty busy, but we would not have it any other way. God has blessed us and we are so happy together.

To celebrate 4 awesome years Tim took me to Logan's steak house and then we went to whataburger for a shake. We had planned on going to the Harbor for ice cream, but it was so cold we did it drive thur style.
