Weekly Wonders . . .

As a kid we do not think about how our choices will effect our lives later, but as adults that is all we do.

At what point do we start looking so far ahead? I find it so strange how my decision process has changed so much over the years. And now that I am a mom the process is very different. When it comes to making choices and plans I stop and think how will this effect my sweet Max when he is older.

I know that the Lord has a plan for all of us, but sometimes I forget to lean on him when choices need to be made. There are times when I try and carry my worries, but then I feel a tap on the shoulder. Without having to ask the sweet Lord is there for me. How awesome is it to have such an amazing Lord that loves me even when I try and do things my way. My LORD is so AWESOME!!!

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way should go; I will guide you with My eye." (Psalm 32:8)

"The Lord will guide you continually ..." (Isaiah 58:11)

Valentine's Day #13

O my goodness I cannot believe that this is the 13th Valentine's I have spent with my sweet Timmy. I knew we had been together awhile, but 13 Valentine's WOW!!!

I can remember our first Valentine's Day as if it yesterday =) He came and picked me up and we met his parents up at his church for a Valentine's dinner show to raise money for something. Well during the dinner part Tim's dad thought it would be funny to make fun of me the whole time. I was losing my voice so I sounded very man like when I spoke. So he got the biggest kick out of making fun of me. But despite that it was a fun night. Then to end the night Tim drove me home and gave me a really sweet hear necklace and his cross ring. The cross ring was so special because its the ring that he got when he accept God into his life. And he said that he know I was the one so he was giving that ring to me because we would forever be together. I wore that ring everyday after that for years until I got smacked with a ball at the batting cage. That ball smacked me right on the ring finger and I almost had to have that ring cut off. I was able to pull it off, but that ring what no longer round. It was a great Valentine's Day despite the messed up ring years later!!!

So that was Valentine's Day #1 now onto Valentine's day #13

Well I started the morning off by sleeping in thanks to my sweet hubby!!! He got up with Max and they made me breakfast.

It was so sweet they made eggs, turkey bacon and heart shaped waffles. Man they are the greatest boys ever. Then we got ready and headed to church. On the way to church Tim stopped and got me a Diet Coke since I didn't have one at home. Again he really knows how to get to my heart. Then we went to church and it was a great service. After church we went home and had homemade pizza and cheese bread.

After the pizza we did gifts.

Max loved opening his Elmo movie and giant cookie. Tim got a warm hoodie.

I got a huge cookie, some yummy candy and I got a big sweet kiss from my Max.

Then it was nap time =) After nap time we took Max to Mimi and Pawpaw's so that Tim and I could have a romantic Valentine's dinner. Once we dropped Max off we went home and bummed around for a little bite and then headed to dinner. My sweet hubby and I headed to WHATABURGER for our romantic dinner =)

And if you look close you can see a kid sitting behind me. Yeah that is my little Max. He is sitting with his grandparents so Timmy and I could have our romantic dinner!!!

I mean how could we pass up a buy one get one deal at the whataburger =)

It was fun and it really fit our personality. We have had so many Valentine's Days, so we needed to change it up and do something we had never done before.

I love my Timmy and I can not believe that we have shared 13 Valentine's together. Thank you sweetie for all the years of love and I look forward to all the years of love to come!!!

Snow Day 2010

OOOOOO MY GOODNESS we got a snow day and there was real snow not just ice. In Texas our snow days are normally really lame, but not this time. Thursday was amazing!!!! It snowed all day long. As I walked through the halls at school I found myself smiling every time I looked out the window. It was like we were in a giant snow globe. I have never seen snow like this!!!!

However the best part of the day was taking Max out to play in the snow. He loved the snow and I loved watching all of his cute reactions. We had a blast playing in the snow. Max liked it when we had a snowball fight. He though it was so great that he got to throw snow at mommy and daddy. Since it was so cold we could only stay out for 10 minutes and boy that was not enough time for Max. He cried for a few minutes when we had to come in. So we made a deal with him. If he ate all his dinner then he could go back out there. And man that boy sat down and ate all of his food plus some of mine. We did not have to remind him to keep eating he just sat down and went to town with the food. Once dinner was over we got our 5 layers back on and went back out for round 2 of snow day!!! Again he had a blast and he was not ready to go in. Despite the tears when we came in I know he had a blast. He even helped mop up all the snow that we brought into the house.

RHS Awards 2010

Last weekend we went to the RHS Winter Awards to see my favorite sister win. She looked so cute and her hair was amazing (I did it). I loved spending time with her working on her hair and then going to the awards to see her walk across the stage. She has grown into such an amazing young lady. I am so proud to have a sister like her. I can not believe that this is her senior year. Man I am going to miss her when she moves off to college :( But enough of the sappy stuff onto the pictures of the night.

Here we are as we wait for the Awards to start

The stage decore

Ashley walking out and getting ALL RHS!!!

This is how Max spent his time at the AWARDS!!!

Valentine's Day MDO

Max had his first Valentine's Party at school Thursday. I made him a cute teddy bear box for him to take to school. From the pictures that Timmy took I think he liked it.

We needed to have Valentine's for all his classmates, but I am not to big on the store bought ones. So I made some hand made ones for him to take to school. I drew some teddy bears and glued them to a heart that said 'Have a BEARY good Valentine's!!'

and we attached so homemade cookies to the hearts.

When Max is older I hope he will want to carry on this tradition of making Valentines, but if not I guess I will conform to the mass and buy him the store bought ones.

Hope you first Valentine's Day party was great Max!!! love ya tons baby!!!

too much!!!

Well my dreams of being a hair dress have been crushed by the realization I am not good at cutting hair. Max's hair grows so fast and I thought hey I can trim it up. Plus last time Tim cut it he cut a big line across the top of his head, so I thought I couldn't do worse. Well I was wrong. My poor baby has a fuzzy neck because I cute the back of his hair too short :( In my defense he keep moving, but I should of known when to stop cutting. However at the end of the bad hair cut he gave me a kiss and told me luv yu. So I guess the bad hair cut wasn't all bad. SORRY MAX!!!

SUPERBOWL 2010

So I am not into football, but my boys are. Here is our day as we prep for the big game!!!
