Amazing

As the year comes to an end I am just amazed at all the blessing I have been giving and more specifically the blessing of my amazing husband and best friend. Timmy is not just my super handsome hubby he is my BFF!!!

We have the kind of love that people only dream about. Timmy and I feel in love as kids and we still have that puppy love!!! Some might say that is not realistic, but whatever its true. Don't get me wrong we have a mature relationship with all the fun ups and downs, but no matter what I love him and I never question his love for me. I still get butterflies in my stomach when he holds my hand while we walk through walmart, I smile when I see his pic pops up on my phone to show that he is calling, I giggle when I elbow him in the middle of the night to get him to stop snoring and when we are fighting and we both know its going know where one of us turns on some music and we start dancing it our which the yelling always turns into silly dancing and giggles. So yeah we are old and married, but he have that puppy love at heart and that is what makes our love so special. And I pray to God that we never lose that because that is an awesome thing to have, at least I think so.

God really blessed me on October 3, 1997 when he brought Timmy in my life. And to still get to create more memories today Dec 27, 2009 that is amazing.

Timmy is such a wonderful man and I still cannot believe he chose me to spend his life with. My life is so blessed because God had him choose me to go to homecoming with in high school, choose me to date all through college, choose me to marry, choose me to have a child with and continue to choose everyday after that!!! I know that sounds odd, but I don't know of many that have that kind of love and I feel so blessed.

If you have a love like ours thank God daily and hold on to it with all of your might, because that kind of love is a true blessing from God and its not something you find just anywhere with anyone.

I love you so much my sweet Timmy!!!

Date Night 12/26

While out doing a little Christmas shopping for next years gifts Tim's mom calls and tell us that she wants to watch Max so we can go to the 4:10 showing of the Blind Side. We thought this was odd since we never asked or even mentioned wanting to go to the show. But hey who is going to pass up babysitting and a date. So we were super excited! At three I started getting ready putting on some new jeans and shoes, I even made Timmy change out of his t-shirt into a polo. Max even got dressed up in his new fancy rain boots to go hang with Mimi and Papa. We dropped Max off got our bye-bye kisses and ran out the door. When we pulled up to the Harbor it was packed. Timmy dropped me off to get the tickets and he went to park. Well the movie was sold out!!!! So since it was 20 degrees and i forgot my jacket we could not walk around and waste time until normal dinner time, we decided to eat a little early (4:00) And since it was date night we decided to be fancy and get a appetizer before the meal. Well we got full on the appetizer so we canceled the rest of our order and headed home. On the way home we did stop by Starbucks for a fun drink. Then once home we decided to get wild and clean out the upstairs walk-in attic =) Oddly enough it was a fun date and it is one that I will remember.

Cookies for Santa

Since I am such the baker these days I decided that we could not put out just any kind of cookies for Santa. The cookies that we put out have to have a personal touch. So Max and I got out the sprinkles and candy and went to town. He had a blast !!! He could put some sprinkles on a cookie and then eat some. This pattern continued the whole time. By the end of the experience he had a big sugar high and he was super sticky!!!

Sweet Baby Jesus

Since I am all about starting new traditions I decided that every year Max and I would make a cake for baby Jesus. I cooked the cake and Max got to put on the decor. Once we were done we as a family sang happy birthday to Jesus. I hope that over the years this will help show Max the true meaning of Christmas. As he gets older we will add more and more to this tradition so that it can be a learning experience too!!!

Have a 6 Flags Day!!!

So we got free passes to Six Flags from the mom-in-law and we decided to take Max to the Holiday in the Park this year. It was super cold but we had a blast. We planned on going early in the day and spending a lot of time in the kid area, but the park didn't even open until 4 so it was getting dark just standing in line.

Max loved all the people, lights and fun rides. He drove the old timey cars, rode the swings (all by himself), rode the big train with the folks and a kiddy train with dada. And to top off the night we rode the carousel horses with us too. The way that his face lite up while on all the rides was awesome. And when he met some of the characters he would smile and give them high fives. I think he really had fun!!!

Husky 5K

So I'm a little behind with my posts but I want to share my fun times doing the 5K (in Nov) with my new Hays family.

It started off cold but Max and I completed the 5k and it was awesome!!!

my baby is growing up!!!

Today my little guy is a year and a half. It is hard to believe that my sweet little 6lb 10oz bundle of joys is walking, talking and dancing =)

As I sit here and type this he is fast asleep on me and I am loving the sound he makes as he sleeps. And the look on his face is just to die for. His chubby cheeks all smushed up and his lips puckered, o this kid is soooooo cute. Even though his a year an a half today he looks just the same, sleeping, as he did when he was first born. This little guys has stolen my heart and I am 100% ok with that =)

I cannot believe how much he has changed. This time last year he could not even sit up by himself and he was still getting most of his food from a bottle. Now he is chasing Dixie around the house, telling us when he has poop poop and requesting the BOOM BOOM sond sh he can do his dance. He is getting so big and so independent. Max will let you know if he wants milk or juice, cookie or cheese and when he has a wet or dirty diaper. His newest thing is when he want Timmy or i and we don't answer him by the 2nd momma or dadad he then says momma or dada in a low monster like voice. It is weird and cute all at the same time. And whatever Tim and I say Max tries to repeat it. He is our little parrot!!!

This little guys has brought so much joy into my life!!! I can not remember what I worried about, thought about and looked forward to before Max was born. Don't get me wrong I had a great life pre Max, but its like the moment I held my sweet baby all of that was erase from my memory. He feels me up with so much joy and love!!! I never knew I could love someone this much. The love that a mommy has for her sweet son is a wonderful thing that just makes you all tingly inside. And when he gets a bump I have to be strong and tell him to dust it off, but really i just want to scoop him up and take all the pain away. I always thought it was silly when i would see moms kiss their kids' ouches, I mean really how does that take the pain way??? But I now know the power of a mom kiss. Max fell and bumped his head really good and as he was sitting on my lap crying his eyes out I kissed his head and he stopped crying and gave me a hug. From that point on he asks me for kisses every time he gets hurt.

It still makes me smile every time I look at him and I see the wonderful blessing that God has but in my life. The love that I have for my sweet Max is something that can't be put into words. As he grows up I will spend my life showing him and telling him what a blessing he is and how much we love him. O my i am starting to cry. I still can not believe the amount of love i have for him. Thank you Lord for blessing me with this sweet angel we call Max!!!!

Baker Hits again!!!

I just baked 6 dozen cookies for no real reason!!! I think i am addicted to baking =) The mixing, scooping, cooking and smell is just to die for. There is a list 2 miles long of things that I need to do around the house yet I baked cookies that we really didn't need. Man i think I have a problem =)

Do they make a pill or a gum to wing a person off of baking?????

Pizza again!!!!

So Tim has a love for pizza and he has been talking about the pizza we had during our vacation to Chicago this summer. So being the awesome wife that I am =) I decided to surprise him with a homemade Chicago style pizza one night when he got home from a wedding. Well I made the dough and watched it rise. Then I cooked the meat and mixed it with the whole jar of sauce. And then I poured it all into the pan. As I was pouring I realized that I should of maybe only used half of the sauce since the dough takes up so much room in the pan. So as the pizza was cooking I could see the sauce getting higher and higher in the pan as the dough was rising. And since there was so much sauce it never really got thick. As I sliced the pizza all the goodness was oozing out. O well Timmy got something close and now I know what to change for the next time!!!

Christmas Baking

The best part of the holidays for me is the BAKING!!! I love all the tasty treats that I get to make. During the year it just seems odd to make gingerbread anything and cookie cutter just aren't as much fun. And the smell of sweet treats filling the house is AWESOME!!! Man I love this time of the year =)

Cookie Monster!!!

Max came home from MDO the other day with the cutest ginger bread man ever!!!! My kid is so talented (well maybe I am just being a super proud mom) He was so excited about the cookie. And when he realized he got to eat the cookie he was even more excited. At one point he started laughing like a crazy person =)

Pizza of any kind!!!

So if know my husband you know that he loves pizza. Timmy will eat pizza morning, noon and night. He loves all kinds of pizza and its seems that the odder the better. Well I had to work late one day after school and I called to tell him to heat up the left overs from thanksgiving so that we could eat right when I get home. And well if you know use you know that we eat earlier then the senior citizens =) When I got home this is what I had waiting for me . . .

turkey noodle casserole pizza

He looked at me with a sad face and said he just couldn't eat the same think anymore. But I guess since it is called pizza he worked through it =)

Oh My Goodness its SANTA!!!!

Well we took Max to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop and it was a GREAT experience!!! I was afraid that we would have that screaming kid and that the picture would end up being a frightened baby trying to get away from the jolly bearded man =) But I was happily surprised. Max paused for a second when we first walked up, but then he was ready to meet Santa. My Max is soooo awesome!!!

O christmas tree

As kid I remember having a small Christmas in my room that I decorated. I loved that I could pick out the decor no matter how odd or different I wanted them to be. Soooo this year I decided Max should have that same experience. We gave Max the 3 foot tree that we used as our main Christmas tree last year when we were living in the guest house. Since he is not old enough to pick out his decor we got him some finger puppets to put on his tree. And there is some fake candy spiraling around the tree giving to us by his Nina!!!

Max had a blast putting the decor on the tree!!! At first he wanted to play with the finger puppets, but he warmed up to the concept and help decorate. I am so looking forward to seeing how this tree changes over the years as Max grows up and changes =)

God's love is soooo amazing!!!!

So I am a little behind on my post!!!

Turkey Day was AWESOME!!!! We had a great time with all of our family and MAX was so cute. I am so thankful for my wonderful family and my group of amazing friends. So much has happened this year with Max, the house, family and my new job. And to be honest there were times when I just wanted to scream WHY???? But as I type this blog I am started to understand WHY. God has creative way of showing people what they can handle. Looking back at things I see how amazing God thinks I am and the faith that he had in me even why my faith was running low. God's love to is so amazing =)

Who has Black Eye Peas for Christmas????

So Max and I started a new tradition. We made a gingerbread house together. I hope that this something that he will look forward to doing with me each year.

Max was so cute!!!! I put the structure together (which I am sure no one will be hiring for my construction skills) and then I put the icing on so that he would have something to stick the candy to. Well as I am putting icing on one side my sweet son is using his finger to eat the icing. He was having a blast and with each yum I could tell he was really enjoying this tradition. Once I got him to stop eating our art project I gave him the candy (which he started stuffing into his mouth). When I told him that we need to put the candy on the house he took the candy out of his mouth and put on the house. Its a good thing this is for looks only =)

My little sis joined us for this experience and she desided to play Max's favorite song 'BOOM BOOM' by the Black Eye Peas while we did this and he started dancing in his seat while putting candy on the house. It was so cure because he was just jamming and staying focused at the same time. I love Christmas time with my sweet Max. He just makes my life 1000% better.
